Conference Inspires SMOB

 

     Karli Hakala, the Student Member of the Board of Education and the Vice President of ACASC, recently attended a conference about environmental advocacy and being an environmentally friendly leader. Hakala participated in several hands-on activities as well as serious discussions during the weeklong conference. She plans to bring back the valuable lessons that she learned to ACASC, and she would like to see ACASC take a proactive stance on environmental issues concerning our school system. She hopes that other students will share her devotion and enthusiasm about making our planet a better place! 

   

    Karli Hakala recently informed students that a new position is being created on the executive board. This position will be titled as The Environmental Affairs Chair. The application is now available on the website under Important Documents.
